Visiting Grandma's!

Look how tall Brent is getting! Amazing. Do you like Sarah's shoes? She stole them from her dad!

Always Kiss Me Goodnight

I love it!

Thanks, Jan!

Lucy and I on a walk!

A few scenes from my walk....get a load of this mushroom! It's a dinner plate!

The tree in the path was disturbing because if you look straight up, there is a section of tree slightly more slender, suspended horizontal in the branches over the path. A good wind will bring it down, I think. We had a young man die in a recent wind storm while walking in a park with his wife and dog. A tree fell on him. So, I walked cautiously!!

Mom was sick this weekend...can you tell?

I was incapacitated with stomach flu...which Bryce caught the next day and Alan caught the next. Dishes were a low priority!!!

Bev and I putting Mom's couch together

Bev and I worked on putting mom's couch together...when it says "A little assembly required" BEWARE!!

Patti's walk

So, here is Lucy and my favorite walk. We start out walking along the grounds of the Lighthouse, watching the fishermen. Then, turn into the wetlands and check out all the water birds. Finally, up the steep stairs into the woodlands for a nice jaunt thru cedar/fir/maple forest. Very nice!

My Roadside Garden, year 2

Here is year 2: we put these in last year. The picture doesn't do the color justice...the azaleas are more purple than pink and just luminescent! The daffodils make a nice contrast. Next month comes a pink azalea that grabs you by the throat and slaps you silly...I call it, "LOOK AT ME pink!" I love what we've been able to do here...14 years of overgrown blackberries...don't miss them at all :-)

Birch Bay

So, these are serious card makers. Michelle filled the back of her SUV. Veronica brought her van and there was no extra space! All my projects fit into a reusable grocery bag! I think I had the best time...so easy to pull out knitting! No need to come up with creative ideas...just follow the pattern. Had wonderful food....came away with recipe for spinach onion quiche, mexican lasagna (yummy!), and triple rum chocolate cake. Sigh.... Lots of chick flicks and conversation. Four glorious days thanks to Alan, who held down the fort at home! Went to yarn shop for brief but expensive shopping foray!!
