This is a day for Sarah on the blog. I loved that Grandma was teaching Sarah how to knit while we were at Oceanside. Mom taught all of us to knit and I remember being in a 4-H knitting group that Mom was head of.
Sarah picked up the technique pretty fast and only occasionally had to ask Grama to find a dropped stitch.

Good grief...I'm commenting on my own blog entry! It's because I can't figure out how to do the edit thing.
Anyway, I wanted to say that when Grandma taught ME to knit, I got to use considerably larger needles! I think I used size 8 0r 9 and these look smaller.
Maybe Jan needs a blog.....?
