Miranda, Eeyore and a windy night

We had a windy night a few days ago. I couldn't sleep...kept thinking a tree might hit the house, especially over the kids' bedrooms. So, I got them all up and moved us to the living room. Alan stayed upstairs.
Miranda kept saying that she wished her daddy was downstairs. She wanted to sleep with me...not because of nightmares or being scared, but because she said she had "disturbing" thoughts. She'd seen a review blurp about a scary movie while looking up the times for National Treasure II. She said the picture and the description were in her head now and she couldn't get them out.
She crawled into my lap with her stuffed animal, Eeyore.
Eeyore was a little gift from a volunteer at Everett's Providence Hospital, when one of the kids had an appointment there. Each child was given a stuffed animal. Miranda chose Eeyore. Pretty appropriate, don't you think?
She's surprisingly grown up most of the time...but seeing her with her Eeyore and hearing about the "disturbing" thoughts was actually comforting to her mom.

I love that Miranda who always act so independent and grown-up has Eeyore.
